OLMSTED FALLS PARKS
Did you know Olmsted Falls has a wide variety of parks
for your recreation and enjoyment, seven in all! We welcome
you to come visit them and see what we have to offer.
The City of Olmsted Falls does not rent or reserve any
of the parks, gazebos or pavilions. It is utilized on
a first come first serve basis.
VILLAGE GREEN
This park serves as a gateway into the community. Its
central park facility provides a variety of recreational
alternatives on a small 3-acre plot, located in the City's
Historic District, at Columbia Road (Rt.252) and Water
Street. Families with young children especially enjoy
the newly renovated playground and fountain. Many photography
sessions have been held on the grounds gazebo. Grills
and picnic tables around the park make it a nice picnic
spot for young and old alike. Basketball, Volleyball and
Horseshoes make this an ideal location for family gatherings.
Take a look at the schoolhouse pavilion that is newly
constructed and will be opening soon!
FORTIER PARK
This large park covers approximately 5-acres along the
West Branch of the Rocky River and Plum Creek, located
on Water Street. The park provides a variety of recreational
opportunities. It includes scenic waterfalls, fishing,
walking trails, picnic areas with grills and an old world
like stone covered pavilion and restrooms. There are also
many alcoves to discover.
EAST RIVER PARK
This handicapped accessible park offers a pavilion with
a fireplace, picnic tables, grills, scenic overlook deck
connected with walking trails, open play areas, age specific
play areas, drinking fountain and restrooms. Winter is
no stranger to this park, which has its own sledding hill
that provides chilling and thrilling hours of fun! Located
on Lewis Road. Also, there is an ice skating available,
weather permitting. See Upcoming Events for details on
activities.
TYNDALL FALLS PARK
This is a small area located at the end of Tyndall Falls
Boulevard off Columbia Road. A sidewalk leads down the
middle of the park. There is a play structure and a swing
set.
MILLS FIELD
This park has limited space due to close proximity to
houses; it is located off Basswood in the Flair Development.
It has a baseball field and basketball court. With respect
for the area residents, a sign has been posted for regulated
play.
BRADFORD GATE PARK
This area is approximately 2-acres located off in the
Bradford Gates development. The park amenities include
a basketball court, and as all purpose playing field.
