Explore Olmsted Falls - Main Street affiliate

A major point of pride for the City of Olmsted Falls is our historic downtown. Early in 2018, the city administration began to organize a group of community leaders to form an affiliate Main Street in order to create economic and cultural vibrancy and to ensure that future generations can appreciate the historic spaces through preservation efforts.

Working with the Ohio Main Street Program, Explore Olmsted Falls became an affiliate Main Street community in 2018. The group is an independent, nonprofit (501 c3 pending) with a mission "to unite, celebrate, enhance and promote historic downtown Olmsted Falls for economic vibrancy."  The Main Street Program is the local-level, economic revitalization strategy of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. As the leading voice for preservation, the National Trust is "the cause for people saving places." The history and character of Olmsted Falls are worth saving, revitalizing and sharing and will always be an important part of what makes the city a great place for business.

The board of directors, led by the inaugural president, Dr. Scott Sedlacek, is working to create a strong organizational structure that will include committees with specific responsibilities within the four-part Main Street approach, including Organization, Economic Vitality, Design and Promotions.  Stay tuned for ways to be involved in this group.
